SafetyPower™ : 12V battery powers critical systems in electric vehicles
- 12V is the #1 reason for EV roadside events
- 12V Aux battery is used to operate all systems outside of propulsion, including safety systems
- It must have healthy SafetyPower™ to support nearly 300 functions
- Without SafetyPower™, you cannot drive an EV
- To preventatively test the 12V battery in electric vehicles, you need diagnostics that assess the battery’s ability to support SafetyPower™ Capacity
HOW IT WORKS
Using the built in 500A load, xLVS-9000 analyzes the 12V Aux battery’s response while loading to accurately assess the remaining capacity of the battery and it’s ability to support critical vehicles systems.
WHAT IT MEASURES
- Accurately estimates EV 12V Aux batteries’ remaining functional capacity.
- Compares the functional capacity to the SafetyPower™ capacity requirements of the electric vehicle.
- Identifies issues with 12V Aux batteries’ ability to support SafetyPower™ for critical vehicle loads.
Analytics and Communication
- BMIS integration supports automated over-the-air software updates and analytical reporting
- Capture charge session times
- Review diagnostic charge data
- Visibility into process compliance
- Reporting on self-diagnostics to improve tool uptime
- E-mail results via built-in Wi-Fi
- Print results via networked Wi-Fi printer or optional integrated printer
